Berlingo terms of loan
I'm providing the following information for reasons of clarity, sorry if it seems a bit 'heavy handed' but some things that have occurred recently with the van have lead us into having to cover ourselves with everyone unfortunately.
To be clear you are not hiring the Berlingo, we are loaning it you as a gesture of goodwill during your stay. Therefore, in order for you to borrow the Berlingo, I will require the full name(s) as stated on the passport(s), the nationality, date of birth and the passport number(s) of anyone who will driver it. This is so that I can issue each driver with their own paper stating they have my permission as owner for them to be borrowing the car.
The Berlingo is insured fully comprehensive for any driver over the age of 30 and under 70. However, there is an excess in the event of claim being necessary, this is 246 euro plus the extra percentage we will get charged by insurance company for loss of a no claims stage. Please bear in mind that the Berlingo is for use as a 'run around', in the Algarve region only.
It is important to remember in the event of an accident this is not a hire/rental car and that you are only borrowing it from us otherwise, the insurance will be invalid.
