The main bedroom has an electric bed which has variable height as
well as variable head and feet ends. It has integral bed sides on
both sides and a monkey pole (see animated picture above). It also
has a Tempur memory foam mattress to aid pressure relief at night.
The other bed is at
a height of 55cm which can be increased by 8 cm or 15 cm with use
of bed blocks. We also have bed sides available for one bed too (no
charge).
The wardrobe is designed so a wheelchair car wheel-in.
Main Bedroom Wheelchair Accessible Shower Room
The shower room has a wheel in shower with grab rail. The water is
supplied at about 4.5 bar of pressure, so no dribbling showers.
The sink has no pedestal to allow a wheelchair user to get close.
The toilet has a grab rail on both sides (one being retractable).
All taps have lever handles for ease of use. There is a shaving point
and adapter on the mirror.
